Setelah melahirkan atau saat masa menyusui ini sebenarnya dipengaruhi oleh karena adanya kenaikan hormon progesteron yang berpengaruh pada kesehatan kondisi rambut.
Setelah melahirkan atau selama menyusui, seringkali ibu mengalami rambut rontok. Adapun penyebab rambut rontok pada ibu menyusui ini adalah karena setelah melahirkan terjadi perubahan hormon yang drastis, yaitu naiknya hormon progesteron yang berpengaruh pada kesehatan kondisi rambut.
Terjadinya rambut rontok setelah melahirkan dan menyusui ini sebenarnya normal dan tidak akan mengakibatkan kebotakan sehingga tidak perlu dikhawatirkan karena rambut rontok akan berhenti dan kembali normal seperti sebelum hamil pada 6-12 bulan setelah melahirkan.
Untuk mengatasi masalah rambut rontok setelah melahirkan dan menyusui, ada beberapa hal yang bisa ibu lakukan. Berikut di antaranya:
1. Memotong Rambut
Memotong rambut bisa menjadi salah satu cara untuk mengatasi rambut rontok. Terlebih memang sangat disarankan bagi ibu menyusui untuk memotong rambut agar lebih mudah menata rambutnya dan tidak repot saat merawat bayi baru lahir.
2. Mengonsumsi Daging Merah dan Kacang-Kacangan
Mengonsumsi makanan yang mengandung asam lemak esensial, vitamin B12 dan zat besi bisa membantu untuk mengatasi masalah rambut rontok pada ibu menyusui. Ibu yang sedang menyusui sebaiknya menunda dulu program diet, karena bisa menyebabkan tubuh kekurangan nutrisi yang dibutuhkan untuk pertumbuhan rambut dan juga menghambat produksi ASI.
Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan zat besi, ibu menyusui sebaiknya memperbanyak untuk mengonsumsi kacang-kacangan, alpukat, bayam dan daging merah. Sementara untuk mencukupi kebutuhan vitamin B12, ibu bisa mendapatkan dengan mengonsumsi ikan, keju dan telur.
3. Menggunakan Produk Perawatan Rambut
Ada baiknya ibu menyusui melakukan konsultasi ke pakar rambut atau ahli medis terkait bila ternyata ibu mengalami rambut rontok yang cukup parah. Selain itu, ibu juga bisa menggunakan produk perawatan rambut untuk mengatasi masalah rambut rontok dan membantu pertumbuhan rambut. Oya, untuk jenis produk perawatan rambut sebaiknya ibu konsultasikan dulu ke pakar perawatan rambut.
4. Menghindari Stres
Stres bisa menjadi salah satu penyebab rambut rontok, tidak terkecuali pada ibu yang sedang menyusui. Hal ini bisa terjadi karena stres ternyata bisa melemahkan sistem kekebalan tubuh yang mengakibatkan rambut rapuh dan mudah rontok. Untuk itulah sebaiknya ibu menghidari stres saat merawat bayi dan menyusui. Cobalah untuk lebih rileks dan menikmati setiap perubahan yang terjadi pada diri ibu setelah melahirkan agar proses menyusui jadi lancar dan rambut tidak rontok.
